More work on this guy, some of you might remember him. He's more or less an archetype and plays by some really strange rules. I keep referring to him as "he," but he's really whatever you want him to be. Makes his job a cakewalk. So this isn't a change of design--The Deceiver is beyond things like "design." It's just another of a thousand faces.
.................... The flies and the spider I can deal with, but I'm regretting the centipede because it looks devastatingly corny. Pretty chuffed with the rest, though, 'specially considering it was built up with successively darker pencils and no help from an eraser (braggityBRAG). I very nearly gave him deerish ears, but decided against it because animal features seem to say "nature" and nature isn't evil, it's just itself. For the same reason, I'm a little uncomfortable with the arthropod imagery. Bugs are just doing their job, and I have nothing against them. |

I like how you did the eyes without much distinction in shadin, like black holes in the face. Love how the figure looks so innocuous(like a child almost), but then again the greatest evils always do look harmless until it's too late.
